Disclaimer: If you have ever been to a track meet...especially state track that involves every high school from 1A-5A you know how difficult it is to schedule anything around the events. We are so sorry that we didn't get to see so many of our good friends who are in the Provo/ Salt Lake area. We had originally planned on making a few visits but there was no time whatsoever. We literally got to BYU early Friday morning and barely made Jamie's first race. From there we were at the track meet almost the entire time and left as soon as her last event was over on Saturday to see Darren's grandma and then we drove back to Panguitch late that night. Jamie is a freshman so we have a couple more years to plan it better. We'll have to take a couple of days to come up early and to see all of our friends next time! Sorry! We really really missed not being able to see everyone!

My little baby sister Jamie competed at State Track this past weekend at BYU. She is just a freshman and she did awesome! Her relay teams took 2nd in the Medley and 4th in the 4x400. She did an awesome job especially in the 4x4 personally. She was the first runner and she broke her own record on the 400 significantly! She went into the finals of the 200 M dash placed at 7th and pushed her way through to 4th place in the finals!!!! She also improved her placing in the 100 M dash and went from 6th in the prelims to 5th in the finals. Way to go Jamie!!!!! You did such an awesome job!
You might be wondering why I have a picture of her jumping when all of her events were races...this is simply a warm up and I thought I got a pretty cool shot of it.

It was fun to have almost everyone together to support Jamie. We missed Ronnie but of course we would rather have him serving a mission. We also missed having Jeremy there but at least he was kind enough to send Katie and Cooper. It was a long drive and a long weekend but it was great to see Jamie compete!
Mom and Dad with their next track superstar! They have had a little tiny break from track since Mandy graduated but they are right back into the swing of things.
The girls...all sunburned, sunscreen greasy, and exhausted. I would say that Jamie was the only one that was really warranted in complaining of exhaustion since she is the one that had to compete but with 6 little ones ages 2 and under I think we all had our work cut out for us. I am pretty sure we all slept pretty sound that night.
